Specially designed for organizations new to the field of affordable housing development, this one-day crash course will lay the foundation for your project planning success.
At the all-day workshop, you will: • Identify issues to consider when deciding if your organization should become a developer • Gain tools to assess your group’s strengths and weaknesses • Get advice on how to work with architects, contractors, title companies and other professionals • Navigate different sources of financing • Practice putting together a development proforma and budget • Learn what lenders look for in your application for financing • Discover free and low-cost technical assistance resources available to nonprofits
